Welcome. Thanks for visiting. This website is dedicated to the proposition that mankind is endowed with certain unalienable capabilities, that among these are consciousness and intelligence ….[1] We hold these truths to be evident:
1. Intelligence can prevail. [2] (Even in organizations.😊) For a fraction of the cost of traditional management consulting, Applied Research Mentoring enables you to build your capabilities (not theirs).
2. Applied research can be broadly and beneficially understood and implemented. ARMs for the Rest of Us encompasses articles, lessons, stories and interactive exercises to bring to you the benefits, insight and power derived from knowledge application.
3. Knowledge production need not be restricted to an exclusive technological elite.[3]
Since 2015, I've worked to create a new professional doctorate in Strategic Leadership at the newly expanded Jefferson University. This is not academics for academia, but rather an unconventional program to develop broadly beneficial working knowledge.
4. Research can be rigorous AND relevant.
We conduct rigorous, high value added research in all sectors where we're engaged. I provide here a few links, especially to survey research that I've conducted.5. Bio +. Most everything in America (and in my experience, throughout the world) that's broadcast over the airwaves, on the web, and especially on cable “news” is an insult to intelligence. And most of what's inflicted on the captive audiences of most classroom up to and including graduate programs are little better.
As time permits, I try to provide material and sources that are not an affront to sensibilities. Intelligence, as such, rare though it is, provides intrinsic as well as extrinsic rewards.

- 1] Allusions to Thomas Jefferson's 1776 U.S. Declaration of Independence and to Abraham Lincoln's Gettysburg Address. I changed the part about hold any truths to be self-evident; everything we do here is based on actual empirical evidence. (Apologies for drawing exclusively on US history; but these are important world documents. I do aim beyond America throughout almost all the work and the rest of the site.)
